This post is for my ladies (or gents) who feel my pain of having designer taste, but a college budget! Keeping up with the latest looks is a challenge not only for a college student, but for many who are fashionistas at heart. I mean… how many people are really going to drop $80 on a shirt??? Unless it has been worn by Kristen Bell, probably not me.

So what is my strategy? One word: SALES!

It is rare that I buy an item of any kind that is full priced. Now, it isn’t just any sale that catches my eye. In particular, the words that really make me stop scrolling through my emails are “extra off sale”! These are the sales that I often use to fill my wardrobe. Sales like these don’t happen often, but when they do you are sure to find some great deals! I have found “extra off sale” promotions that offer up to an extra 70% off of sale prices.

Some stores that offer “extra off sale” promotions are Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters, Free People, and LOFT. Other stores include some boutiques that I have grown to love, but the list is endless! Make sure to join the mailing list for your favorite shops so you can be notified when their sales are happening. The merchandise on these sales often goes quick, so make sure to act fast if you find that perfect piece!
